We're Having a BABY!!!

Oh yeah . . . we'll be welcoming the next Adams-Moran into the world in mid-April 2009! Projected due date is April 13, for what that's worth.

All looks good so far. Mom-to-be is healthy and Dad-to-be is wonderfully supportive. We don't know yet if we'll have a girl or a boy, but we'll let you all know when we know!

I had a great birthday celebrating yesterday!

Started off with lovely brekkie of French Toast, for me, and poached eggs and toast and potatoes for Huzby -- out at one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants.

Then we had a lovely time downtown doing a little shopping. Managed to avoid some overzealous salespeople and got out with just the items we intended to buy!!

Then off to a baby shower for a pal. My orange baby booties were a hit and garnered applause (even though they are HUGE -- perhaps "overbooties" would be more apt).

Finally we had a nice dinner at a new-ish restaurant -- renowned for serving great, simple food without unnecessary fuss. The night capped off at Pix Patisserie with friends! We sat outside and enjoyed some very creative drinks (a hazelnut & honey latte for me, and a rosemary mocha for a friend) - and yummy treats!

So - today Huz and I are having a nice day at home. Enjoying the first rain in a while (except the torrential downpour we experienced in Chicago last weekend) - and cleaning a re-organizing the basement - whoohoo!!
